Our most recent Ofsted inspection was in April 2015.

We are delighted with the outcome which graded our school as ‘good’ with the school sustaining good achievement and teaching since the last inspection in March 2010.

The inspector reported that:

  • This is a good school because the inspirational leadership of the Headteacher, with effective support from other school leaders and governors has sustained good teaching and achievement. The good leadership is also reflected in the overwhelmingly positive response from parents and carers associated with the school.
  • The Headteacher, leaders and governors have established a strong culture of good behaviour and effective teaching across the school. They have further strengthened links with parents and pupils’ safety and well-being and the school’s work to keep pupils safe and secure is outstanding. Links with parents are excellent and parents have an extremely positive view which rightly recognises the school’s success in enabling their children to achieve well.

All staff share the same commitment as their leaders and governors to move the school to outstanding by ensuring its continuing improvement. Areas for improvement are:

  • to ensure most able are always challenged
  • to ensure tasks for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disability are not too difficult

The areas to improve had been identified in the school’s own self-evaluation and fit into the current school development plan.

We are pleased that the inspector recognised the strong leadership, high moral of staff, support by parents and the positive behaviour of our children.
